Cockapoo Puppies
When I was younger, a friend of mine had a great dog. His name was Smoky and he was the first cockapoo I ever met. He is what I think of when the breed is mentioned. A friend of mine shared this with me, and I thought I’d pass it along.
I’d been looking for a present for my daughters 10th birthday this year and it had to be something that she would never forget. Both myself and my wife decided quite early on in the planning stage that we were going to get a puppy as she had been talking about getting one for so long. There’s only one problem with this idea. We already have two cats! So we had to make sure we went for a breed that was not only going to melt our daughters heart but one that could play nice with the cats. If it’s one thing we don’t need it’s to have a house full of animals all fighting! Unless its for our love and affection of course. Plus the thought of separating the animals from tearing each other apart on my daughters birthday was just too much to bear!
Cockapoo puppies had been on TV recently and so we thought that we’d look in to this and see if they are as cute and as cuddly as they looked on the small screen. We saw a few posts online for Cockapoo puppies for sale and so we looked up a local breeder in our area, fixed up a babysitter for the day and off we went. I’m delighted to say that we weren’t disappointed! For those of you out there who haven’t heard of the breed, Cockapoo puppies are a mixture of an American Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle. They can have two very distinct looks for example a Cockapoo may look more like a Poodle with floppy ears or a Cocker Spaniel with wavy hair. You really never know what you’re going to get. The great thing about these puppies is that they’re known for their mild mannered nature which means they’re great for kids and other animals like my cats. No animal wars! We quickly snapped up the Cockapoo and I’m delighted to say my daughter was over the moon with the present.
