Unexpected Problems during Doberman Crate Training
The main goal of Doberman Pinscher crate training is to make them comfortable inside their crates. We all know that kennel crate provides your dog a safe haven in cases of dire circumstances. Therefore it is important to make the crate livable and safe for your Dobermans to stay.
One of the most dangerous problems during crate training is Strangulation. This is happens when your dog’s collar get caught in the hinges and frames of the crate. This is a very deadly mistake that most owners fail to recognize. We never know when our little puppy’s collar gets stuck and strangle our dog. To make it safe for your Doberman puppy, remove the collar before putting your dog inside the crate. Make sure that you have checked the crate for unseemly fringes and metal to avoid accidents.
Another unexpected problem during Doberman Puppy Training is infection. This is common to those Dobermans who are fed in the crate. Some cruel owners lock up their Dobermans in their crates most of the day. Worse, some do not even let the dogs out even for a walk. They keep their Doberman locked up and do not give them the attention they need to thrive. The dog feeds and potty inside their crates. The soiled food, water and their potty provides a good medium for disease-causing-microorganisms to grow. They cause dog flu, skin infection and other Doberman diseases.
The solution to this problem is obvious. Do not lock up your dogs at the same place where they potty or eat. However, for those Doberman owners, who have established this way of breeding, make sure that you always keep your dog’s pen clean, especially in the area where they lie down and feed. Always clean the dog’s dish before and after feeding. Then, make sure that the pen or crate is big enough for your dog to walk around.
Crates should be a happy place for your dog to live at. Make the crates a safe and comfortable haven for your Dobermans. Crates are not prison cells but a home.
